This lot comes from Don Elkin Arcila's Finca Puerto Arturo, where cherries are hand picked at peak sugar and taken through a meticulous double fermentation: 90 hours whole cherry, followed by depulping and another 90 hours in the mucilage. From there it's dried honey style on raised African beds, a slow finish that locks in the sweetness and floral complexity Geisha is famous for. Elkin is as invested in his community as he is in the cup.
